Wasn't sure what to call
this scarf- it reminds me of both the desert and driftwood. This was the last scarf on last week's warp and the perfect opportunity to use more of the hand spun yarn I made last year. I learned (
using this handy website) on a drop spindle, which reminds me of making cotton candy (or how I would imagine it's made (saw Coraline last night and it was a magical 3D experience)) and it relatively easy to learn. You can make a drop spindle out of a dowel and a CD or a wooden wagon wheel from Michael's. I picked mine up at the Hemlock Fibers Festival a while back as a step before buying a spinning wheel.
